To all those who claim that salesforce is nothing but a glorified Rolodex. This notion seems normal for me because of the propaganda in the internet. when we search in Google for 'salesforce vs Microsoft dynamics' the conclusion is pretty simple. Dynamics is super cheap (around 44 quids) and salesforce (126-250 quids) is very expensive.
But I totally disagree with this notion. As my exposure to dynamics is very limited, to jump onto this conclusion I had an elaborate discussion with a bunch of Microsoft dynamics fan boys.
After an hour in this discussion, I understood that comparison between these two crm's is like comparing airbus 380 with a Cessna light aircraft, though they both do the basic activity of flying and the latter is much cheaper than the former. But I guess no one have any doubt in accepting that air bus 380 is the 'king of the skies'.
Landing onto our subject, the rational conclusion is if you need a mid segment crm with limited scope as a platform and unbelievable functionality as a crm, go for dynamics. If you are looking for a crm solution which is respecting and adaptable with any enterprise integration pattern you have no other choice other than bowing ur head to the mighty salesforce.
And I repeat my famous quote about salesforce. "The beauty of salesforce is not as the saas(crm) but as the paas (integration patterns)"
